ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the third respondent in Roll No.12PG11080336, thereby rejecting the petitioner to appoint to the post of Post Graduate Teacher (Commerce).

2.

The petitioner had passed B.Com in Annamalai University in the month of May, 2001. Thereafter, she completed her M.Com (Cooperative Management) degree in the month of December, 2004 in the same university. Thereafter, she had passed B.Ed., degree at Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.

3.

While being so, the third respondent had called for to the post of Post Graduate Teacher in Commerce. The petitioner also

participated in the written examination and she had been declared as pass on 27.05.2012 and her roll number is 12PG11080336. However, she was not selected in the interview on the ground that she was not eligible since her qualification of M.Com (Co-operative Management) decree is not equivalent to the prescribed M.Com decree. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed this writ petition with the above said prayer. 4.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the material placed before this Court. 5.

On perusal of the counter filed by the third respondent revealed that the third respondent Board notified 275 vacancies for the post of Post Graduate Assistant (Commerce). The petitioner has secured 67 marks in the written examination and she was awarded zero mark as weightage marks. Therefore, she was not considered for selection under Scheduled Tribe (W) turn in Tamil Medium Priority. Further, she was not eligible for selection both in Schedule Tribe (W) turn and Schedule Tribe (W) (Tamil Medium) turn.

6.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the order passed by the third respondent and the prayer sought for in this writ petition is devoid of merits. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to cost.
