Writ Petitions has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to consider the candidature of the petitioner for promotion as B.T.Assistant in light of the order of this Court in W.P.No.24495 of 2012 in the appropriate place in the seniority list within a fixed time frame.

The learned Special Government Pleader fairly submits that the issue as to whether two year diploma in teacher training is equivalent to +2 (Higher Secondary) for the purpose of promotion has been considered by the State Government in G.O.Ms.No.165, School Education 3(1) Department, dated 15.10.2014, wherein it has been decided that two year diploma in teacher training acquired after 10th Standard, shall be considered as equivalent to +2 (Higher Secondary) for promotion.
