This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to dispense with the present practice of engaging the petitioners through

contractors and to pay the petitioners emoluments directly without any middle men in the light of the orders in W.P.(MD).No.24081 of 2018 on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 03.01.2022.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the R2 to R5 would submit that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous, since the petitioners have already been disengaged from service by the contractors. This fact is also admitted by the petitioners in the petition. Once, they have been disengaged from service, the prayer seeking their engagement through contractors and payment of emoluments does not arise.

3. In view of the above said submission by the learned counsel for the R2 to R5, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
