This Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent and authorities functioning under them to receive the application of the petitioner for supply of Electricity, consider the same and direct regular supply of Electricity for school Auditorium buildings of the petitioner in No.107, Thyagaraya Road, T.Nagar, Chennai 600 017, without insisting upon the production of completion certificate form the C.M.D.A./Corporation of Chennai, in the light of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003.

The Prayer sought for in this writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent and authorities functioning under them to receive the application of the petitioner for supply of Electricity, consider the same and direct regular supply of Electricity for school Auditorium buildings of the petitioner in No.107, Thyagaraya Road, T.Nagar, Chennai 600 017, without insisting upon the production of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

completion certificate form the C.M.D.A./Corporation of Chennai, in the light of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003.

2. Today, when the case is taken up for hearing, Mr.P.R.Dhilip Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the service connection has already been effected in favour of the petitioner for the above said premises during the pendency of the writ petition and therefore, nothing survives in the prayer sought for in the writ petition.

3. Recording the said submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent and as the prayer sought for in the writ petition already accomplished by the petitioner, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.

4.Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
