Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the Press Notice No.1021/PW/BRS/DB/D3/F.No.18/2004-05, dated 28.07.2004 on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the condition stipulated in the Press Notice for issue of tender schedule insofar as it discriminates the contractors registered in other states by way of compulsory production of documentary evidence in support of having satisfactorily executed three similar works during the last five years costing not less than Rs.41.00 lakhs each for the work at serial No.1 and Rs.49.00 lakhs each for the work at Serial No.2 and direct the 2nd respondent to issue Tender Schedule forthwith to the petitioner on the basis of the petitioner's application dated 21.08.2004 to take part in the Tender.

within a period of six months, cannot be maintained at this point of time, since the work itself was for a period of six months, which had lapsed. As such, no effective orders can be passed in the Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
