La2/26372 / 2005 dated 1.9.2006 and the consequential order passed in appeal confirming the punishment by the first respondent herein G.O (ID) No.199 Revenue (SS4) Department dated 3.5.2010 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to promote the petitioner to the post of Administrative Officer with effect from 1.09.2004 and also confer the consequential promotion post with due regards to his seniority with all attendant and consequential benefits.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner represented that the petitioner had passed away and an endorsement has also been made to that effect.
3. In view of the submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
