Challenge in the writ petition is to the impugned order of transfer passed by the first respondent dated 25.01.2022, transferring the petitioner as well as the fifth respondent vice versa from Gudiyatham Municipality to Tirupattur Municipality, only with a view to accommodate the fifth respondent in his home town.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pending the writ petition, in pursuant to the interim order passed by this Court on 10.02.2022, the respondents have cancelled the order of transferm vide proceedings of the Director of Municipal Administration, Chennai in Na.Ka.No.4478/2022/K1 dated 01.03.2022 and therefore, the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous and he has also produced a copy of the said proceedings, which is taken on file and recorded.
3. In view of the above, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
