This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner and to revise the basic pay and consequently to revise the pension as per the orders passed by the 2nd respondent dated 02.03.2018. 2.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Grade II Work Inspector in Public Works Department. The petitioner retired on superannuation in the year 1998. According to the petitioner, he is entitled for the revised selection grade scale of pay w.e.f. 01.06.1988. The petitioner made a representation to the 2nd respondent in this regard and the 2nd respondent by proceedings dated 02.03.2018, passed orders to the effect that the petitioner is entitled for revised selection grade scale of pay and forwarded the recommendation to the 1st respondent. The 1st respondent has not acted upon the orders passed by the 2nd respondent. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3.Heard Mr.R.Murugesan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.V.Prabhu, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 09.08.2019 in line with the orders passed by the 2nd respondent dated 02.03.2018 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 1st respondent along with a copy of the order dated 02.03.2018 passed by the 2nd respondent and a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No Costs.
