The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Declaration, declaring that the resolution passed by the 3rd respondent on 31.5.2012 to take away the cheque signing power of the petitioner in respect of his position as Vice President of Melur Village Panchayat, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District as illegal and unenforceable and for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consequential direction, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to permit the petitioner to continue to exercise the Cheque Signing Power.

2. When the matter is called today, the learned Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent would submit that the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous and nothing survives in the Writ Petition. However, no one appears for the petitioner. It shows that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the matter. Therefore, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
