(delivered by PUSHPA SATHYANARAYANA, J.) The Contempt Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the judgment passed in W.A.No.906 of 2013 dated 20.10.2014.

On 20.10.2014, the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court had directed the authorities to sanction the pension from 01.11.1998 considering the case of the writ petitioner, who had only completed 9 years 6 months and 23 days by rounded off it to 10 years. As the judgment was not complied with, the present contempt petition was filed in the year 2015. 3.

Today, the learned State Government Counsel appearing for the respondents produced the copy of G.O.Ms.No.71 Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries (AH6) Department, dated 15.03.2017, wherein, the pension was sanctioned to the writ petitioner by relaxing Rule 43(2) of Tamil Nadu Pension Page No.2 of 3

Rules, 1978 as a special case with effect from 01.11.1998. 4.

In view of the compliance of the judgment passed by this Court in W.A.No.906 of 2013 dated 20.10.2014, the Contempt Petition is closed.
