..Respondents in Both the Petitions Prayer: Petitions filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to include the petitioners name in the promotion panel for the year 2012 and permit the petitioners to participate in the counseling for promotion to be held year 2012 and promote the petitioners according to seniority as B.T. Assistant.

For Petitioners in Both Cases : Mr.M.Selvam For Respondents in Both Cases : Mr.S.Suresh Kumar, Government Advocate COMMON ORDER The prayer sought for in both the writ petitions is for a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to include the petitioners name in the promotion panel for the year 2012 and permit the petitioners to participate in the counseling for promotion to be held in the year 2012 and promote the petitioners according to seniority as B.T. 2.Since the issue raised in both the writ petitions is one and the same, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, both the writ petitions were heard together and are disposed of by this common order.

3.In both W.Ps, the respective petitioners are seeking promotion to the post of B.T. Assistant and since the said request having been made by way of representation and the same was not considered, they approached this Court by filing the present writ petitions with the aforesaid prayer. 4.Today when the cases are taken up for final hearing, Mr.S.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that, the first petitioner i.e., petitioner in W.P.No.17726 of 2012 i.e., P.Mohandass was given promotion on 01.07.2014 and P.Jayakumar was given such promotion on 01.01.2014, therefore, since both the petitioners have been given promotions long years back, nothing survives in these writ petitions to be further adjudicated.

5.In view of the said submissions made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, where, the prayers have been met long back, this Court feels that, these writ petitions has no further issue is to adjudicate. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
