ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.,] (1) This writ petition is filed by an individual by name Thiru.S.Ramaiah, for issuance of a writ of certiorari to quash the order of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal dated 19.05.2004 made in OA.No.8465/1997, confirming the order of the 2nd respondent made in G.O.[D] No.323, Rural Development Department dated 20.06.1997.
(2) By the impugned order, the Tribunal confirmed the order of punishment of stoppage of increment for five years with cumulative effect.
(3) It is brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner died on 26.12.2008. Hence, this Court is of the view that the writ petition is liable to be dismissed not only on the ground of non-prosecution but also on the ground of enormous delay.
