The petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition seeking for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records connected with the impugned order passed by 1st respondent in his proceedings memo No.04890/ET 4/05 dated 09.08.2005 and quash the same and consequently direct the 1st respondent to consider the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner for promotion to the post of Junior Mechanical Engineer in the existing or future vacancies. 2.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the petitioner had retired under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme on 31.07.2009. The Writ Petition itself filed only for promotion, however, since the petitioner retired on 31.07.2009 under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme and taking into account that the petitioner is not in service, nothing survives in this petition.
3.In view of the above submissions, the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous and hence, there is nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.
