Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of certiorari to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.D3/4675/2003(2), dated 28.04.2006, and consequential order of the first respondent in its Na.Ka.No.10088/2009/A5, dated 31.07.2009, and quash the same.

ORDER

This writ petition is directed against the impugned order passed by the respondents imposing a punishment of stoppage of increment for a period three months without cumulative effect.

2. When the matter is taken up, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition, the writ petitioner died on 21.04.2012 and to that effect, he has also produced a copy of the death certificate issued by the Greater Chennai Corporation. Subsequent to the death of the writ petitioner, no step has been taken to implead the legal heirs of the writ petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Thus, in view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as abated. No Costs.
