O R D E R

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the erstwhile Madathipathi was not in a position to administer the Mutt and subsequently, the petitioner, Thavathiru Maruthachala Adikal has taken charge as Madathipathi. However, the appeal filed before the Commissioner, HR & CE Department was dismissed and a Writ Petition in W.P.No.15252 of 2023 instituted by the Mutt is pending before this Court.

2. As of now, the petitioner claims to be the Madathipathi of the Mutt. That apart, the order of Status Quo was granted by this Court, till such time the Commissioner dispose of the appeal, which has already been disposed of the appeal admittedly.

3. Therefore, no further adjudication is required in this contempt petition. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed. No costs. 31.08.2023 nl Index : Yes
