Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 07.01.2020 made by the petitioner and given permission to conduct a peaceful procession from Manalmedu Bazar to Kalathur Memorial Place on 05.02.2020 at about 10.00 A.M. ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present Writ petition in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 07.01.2020 and give permission to conduct peaceful procession from Manalmedu Bazar to Kalathur Memorial Place on 15.02.2020 at about 10.30.a.m. In the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, it has been stated in the year 2007, the son of the petitioner by name Sankar was alleged to have been beaten by the police, and he died. In relation to that incident, the husband of the present petitioner had filed in W.P.No. 20690 of 2007, and the same is still pending. 2.The petitioner claims that the family members and the relatives are regularly conducting the memorial day of the said deceased Sankar. It is stated that they have made arrangements to perform the 13th Anniversay function on 05.02.2020 in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Mayiladuthurai. Since the W.P.No.20690 of 2007 is pending, the petition has given a representation to the respondent on 07.01.2020. Therefore, Mandamus is issued to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mayiladurai, to pass necessary orders on the representation, dated 07.01.2020 on or before 03.02.2020. 3.Mr.R.Govndasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2, may inform the order of this Court to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mayiladurai, who is the competent Officer to pass necessary orders, though he is not a party in the Writ Petition. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.No costs.
