O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the order dated 03.11.2016 passed by the 5th respondent and consequently, direct the respondents to issue patta in respect of the property situated in Survey No.11, Karivedu Village, Kaveripakam, Nemili Taluk, Vellore District to an extent of 2.36 acres of agricultural land in the name of the petitioner. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, limiting his prayer, requested this Court to direct the 3rd respondent viz., the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranipet, before whom the appeal filed by the petitioner is pending as against the order passed by the Tahsildar, to dispose of the pending appeal at the earliest.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents sought eight weeks time to consider and dispose of the pending appeal of the petitioner. 4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the 3rd respondent is hereby directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's pending appeal within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
