PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Declaration that the Diploma in Teachers Education (DTE) issued by the Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh to the petitioner do not require evaluation in the State of Tamil Nadu and to direct the respondents not to insist on the petitioners having their respective certificates evaluated.

O R D E R

The prayer in the present Writ Petition is for a declaration that the Diploma in Teacher Education issued by the Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, does not require evaluation in the state of Tamil Nadu.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that they do not have any instruction from the petitioners.

3. The petitioners herein have applied for the post of Secondary Grade Teacher (Junior Grade) on the strength of the certificates issued by the Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh. It is seen from the counter affidavit filed by the 2nd respondent that the Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, Lukcnow, has never been granted any recognition for any teacher training course by NRC, NCTE, Jaipur. As such, the diploma certificate obtained by the petitioners herein from an institute claimed to be affiliated to Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, cannot be evaluated as equivalent to that of the Teacher Education Certificate. Hence, the petitioners are not liable to be appointed for the post of Secondary Grade Teachers.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
