ORDER
The petitioner, who is the mother of the victim girl, had earlier filed Crl.O.P. No.19568 of 2025 seeking transfer of investigation.
2. By order dated 30.07.2025, this Court, after considering the submissions of the respondents and the letter written by the victim, directed that the same be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for handwriting analysis, and further directed completion of investigation and filing of the final report within two months from the date of receipt of copy of that order.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has now filed the present petition seeking extension of time. Today, he has produced a copy of the final report and confirmed that the case has been closed as "further action dropped" and R.C.S. No.4 of 2026 has been forwarded to the Judicial Magistrate No.1 for service upon the victim's mother, the defacto complainant.
4. A copy of the report of the Forensic Department has also been served on the counsel for the respondent herein. If the victim's mother is aggrieved by the same, it is open to her to file a protest petition before the appropriate forum in accordance with law within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
