Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that as prayed by the petitioner, the error in his father's death certificate was rectified and a fresh death certificate had already been issued by the respondents and therefore, nothing survives in this petition for further adjudication.

2. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
