PRAYER: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ of Certiorari to call for the records of the respondent in TN/CHN/CC1/17/TN/84766/Enf/2016 and quash the order dated 28.02.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.Anand Gopalan for T.S.Gopalan & Co.,

ORDER

Admittedly, the order impugned is appealable. Since a statutory appeal is available, any question of fact and law very well be adjudicated before it. In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. However, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant a further period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to file a statutory appeal. As and when such an appeal is filed, the Appellate Authority shall decide it on merits without rejecting it on the ground of limitation. Till such time, there shall be an order of status quo qua a portion of the impugned order.
