O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take appropriate action on the proposals submitted by the fourth respondent to the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.79/2023 dated 10.10.2023 for revision of pay and pension of the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner retired from service as Secondary Grade Teacher on 30.06.1997. The petitioner and similarly placed persons filed writ petitions, claiming extension of the benefit of G.O.Ms.No.216, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 22.03.1993 and pursuant to the order of this Court in the said writ petitions, the Government issued G.O.Ms.No.69, School Education Department dated 18.04.2013 granting the benefit of G.O.Ms.No.216, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, 2/4

dated 22.03.1993 to the petitioners therein including the petitioner, pursuant to which, the fourth respondent sent proposals to the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.79/2023 dated 10.10.2023 for revision of pay and pension of the petitioner, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may issue direction to the respondents to consider the proposal sent by the fourth respondent to the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.79/2023 dated 10.10.2023 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.

3.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, direct the respondents to consider the proposal sent by the fourth respondent to the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.79/2023 dated 10.10.2023 in accordance with law, if not already considered, and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
