Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take immediate, appropriate action for removal of the illegally, unauthorisedly installed Pillaiyar Statue and other structures the park area of the Vaikapurikeni Kulam in S.No.234 of Injambakkam village, Sozhingnallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and directed to take appropriate preventure steps to ensure no further encroachments in future including proposed construction of Pillaiyar temple in that park area, in accordance with provisions of Tamil Nadu Protection of Tanks and Evictions of Encroachment Act, 2007. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The allegation is of some unauthorised construction in the park area. The petitioner states that apart from installation of Statue, there is now further construction. The matter may be examined by the concerned authorities.
