O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the learned V Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the case in M.C.No.545 of 2019 within the stipulated time.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioners have filed the petition under Section 125 Cr.P.C., seeking maintenance from the respondent in M.C.No.545 of 2019. They have also filed a petition in M.P.No.1214 of 2019 seeking interim maintenance and no order was passed in the petition till then. In the main maintenance case in M.C.No.545 of 2019, though the petition is ripe for enquiry, due to filing of repeated petitions by the respondent, enquiry was not commenced. Therefore, the present petition has been filed.
3. In the light of the above submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court directs that learned V Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose the petition in M.P.No.1214 of 2019 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and also 2/4
dispose the main petition in M.C.No.545 of 2019 as early as possible, preferably within a period of three months thereafter.
4. With the above observation and direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
