Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 03.01.2018 for grant of NBA accreditation to Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments of the petitioner college (Sri Shanmugha College of Engineering and Technology) in the light of the records available and in accordance with law.

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 03.01.2019 for grant of NBA accreditation to Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments of the petitioner college (Sri Shanmugha College of Engineering and Technology) in the light of the records available and in accordance with law, which was refused by the 1st respondent vide its Order dated 18.10.2018 on the ground that the petitioner college has secured less marks. 2.
Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the respondents. 3.
This Court is not able to appreciate the arguments advanced by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, however, since the order of the 1st respondent dated 18.10.2018 is appealable, the petitioner is directed to approach the appeallate authority within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. If any such appeal is filed within 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order, the appellate authority is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. 4.
With the above observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
