The appointment of the third respondent as noon meal organizer dated 29.02.2016, is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. The petitioner states that she participated in the process of selection for appointment to the post of noon meal organizer at Elementary School (Public), Madam Panchayat Union in Peranamallur Panchayat Union.

3. The petitioner submitted all necessary certificates before the selection committee at the time of interview to her job and service. The third respondent who is junior in age was appointed as noon meal organizer.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner during the relevant point of time was aged about 39 years and the third respondent was 33 years and thus the petitioner would have provided an opportunity for selection and appointment to the post of noon meal organizer.

5. As per the guidelines issued by the Government for selection to the post of noon meal organizer in G.O.Ms.No. 163 Social Welfare and Noon Meal Scheme (NMP-2) Department dated 18.08.2010 no age limit has been fixed. Thus the age of the candidate is immaterial for the purpose of selection to the post of noon meal organizer. As far as third respondent is concerned, she is also fully qualified for appointment to the post of noon meal organizer as she is residing within the radius of three kilometre and further third respondent is a disabled person and thus there is no infirmity in respect of appointment of the third respondent as noon meal organizer in the sector.

6. In view of the fact that the petitioner has not established any eligible ground for the purpose of assailing the appointment order of the third respondent, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
