(Order of the Court was delivered by G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.) This application is filed by the Official Assignee to direct the second respondent/ Purushothaman & Co., to pay a sum of Rs.1,10,93,850/- with interest at the rate of 18% p.a. From 21.04.2014 till date of realization.

2. Despite notice, there was no representation. Hence, this Court ordered substituted service by way of paper publication for the second respondent. Accordingly, paper publication was effected on 31.01.2018. When the matter was called on 14.02.2018, there was no representation. Hence, the second respondent was called absent and set ex-parte. The evidence was recorded by the Master.

3. The petitioner, to prove the claim, has examined staff working in the Official Assignee's Office. 12 Exhibits were marked, more particularly, the statements of auditor and Charted Accountant along with the bank statements proved the claim.
