ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.99 of 2018 from the file of the 2nd respondent viz., The Inspector of Police, Mecheri Police Station, Salem District, to the file of Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBCID Wing, Salem, Salem District, and investigate and file a final report before the Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he has filed a memo for withdrawal of his appearance.

3. It is seen from the petition that Crime No.99 of 2018 has been registered as against the petitioner, but, no action has been taken by the second respondent.

4. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.99 of 2018 and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is directed to monitor the investigation to be conducted by the second respondent and ensure that the second respondent shall file a final report within the said period.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
