The Writ on hand has been instituted to declare G.O.(D) No.644 dated 19.11.2007 on the file of the 1st respondent as null and void so far as the petitioner is concerned and to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to appoint the petitioner as Village Administrative Officer. 2.On account of efflux of time the rules and procedures underwent changes for the welfare of the differently abled persons. The present Writ Petition has been instituted seeking selection and appointment to the post of Village Administrative Officer. However, the Government issued G.O.(Ms).No.20, Welfare of Differently Abled Persons (DAP-3.2) Department, dated 26.09.2025 under Section 33(i) of the Rights of
Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 by identifying the posts under all categories suitable for Differently Abled Persons. When the scope of appointment to the Differently Abled Persons are widened by the Government through G.O.(Ms).No.20, dated 26.09.2025, the relief sought for in the Writ Petition has lost its relevance and thus stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
