Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th respondent to register a case against the respondents 6 to 8
based on the complaint dated 12.06.2012 made by the petitioner, investigate the matter and file a final report, within the time frame and directing the respondents 1, 2 and 4 to suspend the respondents 6 to 8 from their service for enabling a free and fair investigation of the criminal case and conduct disciplinary proceedings against them and directing the 1st respondent to provide appropriate adequate compensation to the petitioner for his custodial torture inflicted by the respondents 6 to 8 and their men.

ORDER
There is no representation for the petitioner either in person or through his learned counsel.
2.The prayer made in this writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 5th respondent to register a case against the respondents 6 to 8 based on the petitioner's complaint dated 12.06.2012, investigate the matter and file a final report and for consequential direction. 3.Today, when this matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the complaint lodged by the petitioner was closed, after conducting due enquiry and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter.
4.Recording the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
