O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to dispose the case in D.V.No.21 of 2016 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Villupuram.

2. On 02.04.2018, this Court passed the following order: "The Registry is directed to call for report from the learned Judicial Magistrate Court-I, Villupuram, stating the reasons for the delay in disposal of D.V.No.21 of 2016. The report shall reach the Court on or before 20.04.2018.

Call on 20.04.2018."

3. Pursuant to the said order, the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Villupuram has sent a report dated 18.04.2018, wherein, she has stated as follows:- "It is further submitted that this Court has got heavy pendency of 1619 cases and it is further submitted that I am holding Full Additional Charge for the post of Judicial Magistrate https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

No.II, Villupuram, Special Judicial Magistrate Mobile Court, Villupuram and Special Judicial Magistrate for Land Grabbing Cases, Villupuram. Hence, I could not dispose the case in D.V.C.No.21 of 2016. I further humbly submit that this Court is always ready to dispose the case as the earliest."

4. This Court understands the plight of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Villupuram District, inasmuch as she is also doing the work of two Courts and the pendency of cases is heavy. Hence, this Court cannot issue a direction to complete the trial in a time bound manner. However, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible, provided the parties co-operate.
