The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.11.2022.

2. In respect of property at Survey No.149/1 situated at Chithamoor Village, Koviloor Post, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, the petitioner has given a representation on 15.11.2022 to the 2nd respondent Tahsildar for issuance of patta. In order to consider the said application and to pass orders necessarily within a time frame on merits, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mrs.J.Malathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.N.Senthil Selvi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. The learned Government Advocate would submit that, the said application submitted by the petitioner would be considered and decided on merits by the 2nd respondent within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, this Court directs the 2nd respondent Tahsildar to consider the application of the petitioner dated 15.11.2022 and pass necessary orders thereon on merits and in 2/4

accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
