PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to pass an order of Writ of Certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records on the file of the respondents 2 and 3 in connection with the orders passed by them in Lr.No.Va.Ni.3(3)/13140/2003 dated 23.03.2003 and Pa.Mu.12651/2002/A4 dated 21.04.2003 respectively and quash the same and direct the respondents to correct the date of birth in the Service Register of the petitioner from 08.05.1949 to 26.07.1951 and grant all the consequential benefits.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the date of birth in the Service Register of the petitioner has been wrongly mentioned as 08.05.1949 instead of 26.07.1951. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. In this connection, he had sent several representation to the respondents seeking for correction of date of birth. By orders dated 23.03.2003 and 21.04.2003, his request came to be rejected. The challenge in the present writ petition is the rejection orders.
3. The petitioner was aged about 53 years, when the writ petition was filed. Since 14 years have lapsed, even assuming that the date of birth was rectified to 26.07.1951, he would have reached the age of superannuation by now. Hence, no fruitful orders can be passed. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
