This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner calling for the records connected with the proceedings issued in Rc.No.374/39145/PR./EZ/2011 EZO.No.237/2012 dated 27.04.2012 and Rc.No.374/39145/PR./EZ/2011 EZO.No.238 of 2012 dated 30.04.2012 passed by the respondent herein and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to allow the petitioner to retire from service with all retirement benefits.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the criminal proceedings are pending from the year 2012 without any progress and also submitted that after committal, it has been re-numbered as SC.No.183 of 2017 on the file of VI Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that time frame may be fixed by this Court to dispose of the case by the VI Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.
4. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent has no Page No.2 of 5
objection for the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the VI Additional Judge, City Civil Court to dispose of the case in SC.No.183 of 2017, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. This writ petition stands disposed of with the above observation and direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
