Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, after calling for the records of the respondent in TN/CHN-I/TNMAS0050550000D-28/2024 and to direct the respondent to permit the petitioner to make the payment of the entire outstanding EPF dues amount to Rs.79,30,743/- (Rupees Seventy Nine Lakhs Thirty Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Three only) in 24 equal monthly installments that shall become payable on the 15th day of every month of the English Calender. 1/4

Mr.K.Venkatesan, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, after calling for the records of the respondent in TN/CHNI/TNMAS0050550000D-28/2024 and to direct the respondent to permit the petitioner to make the payment of the entire outstanding EPF dues amounting to Rs.79,30,743/- (Rupees Seventy Nine Lakhs Thirty Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Three only) in 24 equal monthly installments.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is liable to pay the total sum of Rs.79,30,743/- by way of interest on the basis of the orders passed by the respondent under Section 7Q of the EPF & MP Act, 1952. This Court may, without going into the merits of the case, permit the petitioner to make the 2/4

payment of the entire outstanding EPF dues amounting to Rs.79,30,743/- in 24 equal monthly installments. 4.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, permits the petitioner to make the payment of the entire outstanding EPF dues amounting to Rs.79,30,743/- in 14 equal monthly installments, commencing from 1st March, 2025 and shall pay the installments on or before 7th of every succeeding English Calendar month, failing which, it is open to the respondent to initiate appropriate action against the petitioner in accordance with law.
