The prayer sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to take action on the representation of the petitioner sent on 13.10.2009 by registered post and to pass appropriate orders regarding directing the Chairman and the Principal of Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering Dr.V.P.R.Nagar Manimangalam Varadharajapuram post Chennai-601 301 to return the petitioners certificates namely 1) Ph.D.Provisional Degree Certificate from I.I.I.T Gwalior 2) M.E.Provisional Degree Certificate from T.I.E.T Patiala 3)Ph.D.Viva voce Certificate from I.I.I.T Gwalior and to issue directions to release the petitioner salary for the month of September 2009 and also to take appropriate action against said College for the gross illegality committed by them.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he, prior to filing of the Writ Petition, insisting upon the relief sought for in this Writ Petition, submitted a representation dated 13.10.2009 to the Respondents 1 to 4 and since there was no response on his representation, he is before this Court.
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 & 4 would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondents 1 & 4, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders be passed thereon.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into account the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the concerned respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.10.2009 and take a suitable decision thereon in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the decision taken shall be duly communicated to the petitioner within one week thereafter.
5. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
