The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to issue Patta to the petitioner for the property situated at Plot No.239, measuring an extent of 189 sq.mt. (2034 sq.ft.) in the approved layout vide No.P.P.D./L.O.No.26/2010 comprised in Old Survey No.8/2 and New Survey No.155/2 (Part) Acres 15.98 out of Acres 63.88 and in Old Survey No.9 and New Survey No.156 (Part) Acres 16.52 out of Acres 21.00 total Acres 32.50, after Sub-Division New Survey No.155/2B1, situated at No.118, Pandiyanallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District.

In respect of property at Old Survey No.8/2 and New Survey No.155/2 (Part) Acres 15.98 out of Acres 63.88 and in Old Survey No.9 and New Survey No.156 (Part) Acres 16.52 out of Acres 21.00 total Acres 32.50, after Sub-Division New Survey No.155/2B1, situated at No.118, Pandiyanallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District, the petitioner has given an application on 06.12.2022 to the Revenue Tahsildar i.e. the 2nd respondent herein for grant of patta and in order to consider the same, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition. 2/4

3. Heard Ms.M.Kokila, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submits that, the 2nd respondent Tahsildar would consider the application of the petitioner dated 06.12.2022 and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, the 2nd respondent is hereby directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 06.12.2022 and pass necessary orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
