The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent herein to issue patta to the petitioner for the property situated in Plot No.375, measuring to an extent of 169.24 sq.mt., (1822 sq.ft.,) in which a part of 57.83 sq.mt. (622.05 Sq.ft.) in the southern side, morefully coloured RED in the approved layout vide P.P.D.No.26/2010, Lr.No.LI/11751/2010 dated 17.08.2010 and annexed hereto comprised in Old Survey No.8/2 and New Survey No.155/2 (Part) Acres 15.98 out of Acres 63.88 and in Old Survey No.9 and new Survey No.156 (Part) Acres 16.52 out of Acres 21.00 totalling acres 32.50 patta Nos.3226, 3311 after New Sub-Division Survey Nos.155/2B1 and 156/2A situated at No.118, Pandiyanallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District.

2. The petitioner has given an application for seeking sub division patta for the property situated at No.118, Pandiyanallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District on 18.08.2022 and in order to consider the same, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.Akila Rajendran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents would submit that, the said application submitted by the petitioner would be considered by the 2nd respondent and orders would be passed thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the said application of the petitioner dated 18.08.2022 and pass necessary orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
