Mr.Chakkaravarthy Government Counsel For R1 And R2 Order The petitioner is aggrieved by the letter dated 24.02.2025 issued by the respondent society refusing to grant a No objection certificate. 2.

According to the petitioner, the No objection certificate was sought for mainly on the ground that there were no outstanding dues payable by the petitioner.

In the letter dated 24.02.2025, the society has stated that the petitioner had stood as a surety for a loan availed by one Mr. Rajapandi. 3.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the loan in question was taken way back in the year 2020 and that no effective steps have been taken by the society against the principal borrower viz., Mr.Rajapandi.

The dispute between the society and the petitioner have to be settled before the Registrar as contemplated under Section 90 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983. All the grounds raised by the petitioner in the

present writ petition can very well be agitated before the Registrar. 5.

Since neither the petitioner nor the respondent has approached the Registrar under Section 90 of the Act, liberty is granted to both parties to approach the competent Registrar seeking settlement of the dispute in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
