Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to cancel the patta in favour of the 7th and 8th respondents vide patta Nos.1741 and 6526 in respect of land comprised in Survey No.878/4, situated at Pennagaram Revenue Village and Taluk, Dharmapuri District, measuring an extent of 0.13.50 hectares of land and to restore the land as Government Anadheenam in the revenue records based on the representation of the petitioner dated 20.12.2024. This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 20.12.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for cancellation of patta issued in favour of the respondents 7 and 8 with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned counsel for petitioner, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.Swami Subramanian, learned Standing 2/4

Counsel appearing for respondents 5 and 6.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court and also considering the fact that the fourth respondent has already called the petitioner for enquiry and collected relevant documents in order to place the representation before the third respondent, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 20.12.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law after affording opportunity to the respondents 7 and 8 and final orders shall be passed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
