O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to provide police protection based on the complaint given by the petitioner on 27.01.2024 in order to ensure free ingress and egress of vehicles and movement of people from in and out of the registered office belonging to the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.Anand Gopal, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for first respondent.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that some ex-employees are attempting to illegally assemble in front of the registered office of the petitioner to resolve some income tax problem. Earlier, the petitioner had approached the respondent police and sought for police protection and 2/4

police protection was also given to the petitioner.

4. The apprehension of the petitioner is that the same persons will once again attempt to disturb the free ingress and egress of the vehicles and movement of people from in and out of the registered office belonging to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner is seeking for further police protection.

5. In the considered view of this Court, if and when any obstruction is caused near the registered office, the petitioner can give a fresh complaint to the first respondent. On receipt of the same, the first respondent shall provide necessary police protection by ensuring free ingress and egress of vehicles and movement of people from in and out of the registered office belonging to the petitioner. If any cost has to be paid for giving any such police protection, the same shall be borne by the petitioner. The first respondent shall also ensure that no one is allowed to gather within the radius of 200 meters from the registered office of the N.ANAND VENKATESH, J.

and considering the fact that the registered office is situated at Mount Road, this Court hopes that free movement of the vehicles in the busy road is not disrupted.
