Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.12.2014 and transfer the patta of the properties comprised in Survey Nos. 471/3A, 3B, 3F and 3H in Arumbavur Village, Vepanthattai Taluk, Peramabalur District in his name.

The petitioner made a representation on 10.12.2014 to the respondent seeking transfer of patta in respect of the properties comprised in Survey Nos. 471/3A, 3B, 3F and 3H in Arumbavur Village, Vepanthattai Taluk, Peramabalur District in his name, pursuant to the settlement deed said to have been executed by the petitioner's wife on 15.05.2014 in his favour. Since the said representation has not been considered so far, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that patta, in respect of the properties in question, as of now, stands in the name of the petitoner's wife.

Considering the pendency of the representation of the petitioner with regard to the relief sought, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

10.12.2014 for transfer of patta and pass appropriate orders, on merits, in accordance with law and after affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner as well as third party, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
