ORDER

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.23374 of 2009 dated 19.11.2009 has been complied with vide Government (3D) No.39 dated 23.03.2018. He has also produced the compliance report before this Court. The petitioner has no objection with the same.

2. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Contempt Petition stands closed.

3. However, it is seen that most of the directions of this Court have not been complied with within the stipulated time limit. Further, it is noticed that the Department has not filed any petition or affidavit for extension of time by stating the difficulties to comply with the conditions within the time limit and they complied with the orders only after 10 or 15 years. The petitioners also feel that they are not able to struggle with the Department and they are accepting their delayed compliance. Therefore, it is made clear that the Department/Government whatever it may be, are directed to comply with the order within the given stipulated time and if not due to indigent circumstances, 2/3

they should file the affidavit for extension of time with bona fide reasons or otherwise the contempt petitions will be dealt with seriously and the Officers who are responsible for the same, have to face consequences.
