Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records connected in Lr.No.25933/B2/2009-6, dated 30.04.2010, passed by the 1st respondent and Lr.No.S2(2)/33776/2008, dated 28.04.09 of the 2nd respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to promote the petitioner as Junior Engineer on completion of 4 years of service in the lower category as per the Rules and based on the Government order issued in G.O.(D).No.257 Public Works (B2) Department, dated 29.05.2008 where in retrospective promotion given to others.

The above writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in Lr.No.25933/B2/2009-6, dated 30.04.2010, of the 1st respondent and Lr.No.S2(2)/33776/2008, dated 28.04.09 of the 2nd respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and to quash the same and to direct the respondents to promote the petitioner as Junior Engineer on completion of 4 years of service in the lower category as per the Rules and based on the Government Order issued in G.O.(D).No.257 Public Works (B2) Department, dated 29.05.2008, wherein retrospective promotion was given to others.
2. This Court heard Mr.G.Elanchezhiyan, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Elumalai, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has submitted that the petitioner has been promoted on par with the juniors and granted benefits and has also produced a copy of G.O.(D)No.7 Public Works (B2) Department, dated 06.01.2020 to that effect.
4. In view of the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Writ Petition has become infructuous and the same is closed. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved over the said G.O.(D)No.7 Public Works (B2) Department, dated 06.01.2020, he is at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
