Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records of the second respondent's mahzar notice dated 23.11.2009 pertaining to the Service Connection bearing S.C.No.714/TF-I1B provided to the petitioner's family agricultural well situated at Gengavaram Village, Kankankuppam Post, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District quash the same.

C O M M O N O R D E R The matter relates to theft of energy. It appears that the petitioner paid the compounding charge. However, he is disputing the civil liability. Against such demand, the present writ petitions are filed.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, the petitioner may be permitted to pay the balance amount within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by way of four installments.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents concedes the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

4.In view of the above, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the petitioner to pay the balance amount within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in four installments. 5.With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
