Mr. T.M. Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondents. With consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

This writ petition has been preferred by five persons jointly, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioners 1 to 4 as Handling Labourers and the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

fifth petitioner as Ancillary Labourer, on compassionate ground at Food Corporation of India, Sevoor,within a limited time frame. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioners, placing on record, proposals dated nil of August 2013, submitted that the Committee, having conducted enquiry, has come to the conclusion that the families of the petitioners are not having any property, except a thatched house/tiled house and hence, a direction may be given to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners on the basis of the said proposals. 4.

Mr. T.M. Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader, sought eight weeks time to consider the petitioners' case and pass orders thereon.

Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, considering the limited scope of the relief sought by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' case on the basis of the proposals and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
