Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide a new house at KVK Kuppam and to award adequate compensation for the illegal demolition and removal of the petitioners' house hold articles.

When this writ petition was taken up, the learned Additional Govt.Pleader appearing for the first respondent has submitted that pursuant to the order passed by this Court in this writ petition on 24.06.2010, separate proceedings have been issued by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.I.1/24049/2010 dated 09.10.2010 to the petitioners herein. She has also produced copies of the said proceedings before this Court. In the proceedings issued to the first petitioner, it is stated that the construction of the house will be done if a letter is given by the first petitioner to the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, the second respondent herein, stating that she is willing to accept the house having both ground and first floors. In the proceedings issued to the second petitioner, the claim of the second petitioner was rejected.

2.In view of the above, nothing further remains to be considered in this writ petition and accordingly the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. It is always open to the petitioners to seek legal recourse in the manner known to law.
