ORDER

This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to issue patta, in the name of the petitioner, with respect to the property comprised in Old Survey No.94/4 and New Survey No.289/3 to an extent of 160 sq.ft, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 06.02.2018, 05.03.2018, 12.03.2018 and 15.10.2018.

2. The second respondent filed counter affidavit, it reveals that the petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.02.2018 for issuance of patta in respect of the property comprised in Old Survey No.94/4 and New Survey No.289/3. However, the the second respondent by order dated 31.12.2020, rejected the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation submitted by the petitioner for issuance of patta. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal as contemplated under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvallur and it is pending.

Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvallur is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, after issuance of the notice to the petitioner and counter parties, if any and after giving an opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
