..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for records pertaining to the award made in I.D.No.659 of 2001, dated 27.01.2004 (received by the petitioner Bank on 04.06.2004) on the file of the first respondent including the said award and quash the same.

O R D E R

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner states that during the pendency of the writ petition, the workman was conferred with permanent status as sub-staff and reached the age of superannuation in August, 2016. The second respondent/union representing the workman was also aware of this fact. The terminal and retirement benefits, due to the workman, were also settled by the petitioner/Bank.

2. In view of the fact that the workman concerned was absorbed in the permanent establishments and retired from the service and all his terminal and pensionary benefits were also settled. No further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
