ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.R.Rajkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Karthik Jagannath, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed an appeal against the order under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, on 13.12.2023 and the same is yet to be decided by the District Collector.

3. Learned Government Advocate, on instructions submits that the appeal would be considered and disposed of within a period of four weeks from today, by the first respondent/District Collector.

4. The petitioner shall appear before the appellate authority/ District Collector on 19.02.2024. The appellate authority shall decide the appeal filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks thereafter.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP No.3348 of 2024 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.)
